United States Overdose Deaths
According to the National Center for Health and Statistics, there were roughly 64,000 deaths caused by overdose in the United States in 2016*. In stark contrast, the US involvement in the Vietnam Conflict, which lasted 20 years, reports approximately 58,200 U.S. Military casualties.
